Why Gutters Matter So Much on Austin Homes

Austin gets most of its rain in concentrated spring and fall events, and when it rains here it comes hard and fast rather than steady. Gutters that are undersized, sagging, or pulling away from the fascia cannot move that volume, and the water they should be carrying spills over the front lip and lands right at the foundation. Where the Water Goes After the Gutter

A gutter is only half of the drainage picture, and it is the half most crews stop at. Getting the water into the gutter and moving it to the downspouts is the first job, but on Austin’s expansive clay soils, where that water lands after it leaves the downspout matters just as much.
